Dr Ailsa McGregor

Ailsa qualified as a dentist from Bristol University but grew up in Northumberland. As well as her postgraduate Membership to the Royal College of Surgeons qualifications, Ailsa has postgraduate SAAD accreditation in sedation and anaesthesia. She worked at the Royal Free and Kings Hospitals after graduation, treating difficult referral cases in the Community and Acute Dental departments and is especially good with nervous or reluctant patients. She is our go-to lovely dentist for new patients.
Dr Charles Paterson

Charlie, our Implant surgeon, qualified in Dentistry from Newcastle University has been working in London and in Harley Street for many years. He is very experienced in complex restorative and surgical cases, and combines aesthetic, cosmetic and Invisalign Comprehensive treatments with his surgical knowledge to provide the best possible outcomes for his patients. Charlie is kind and ethical and combines new fatherhood with endurance sporting events. Charlie attended the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons Implant Diploma and is a member of the Association of Dental Implantology UK.

Katherine Opie-Smith earned her dentistry degree from Guy’s Hospital London and has cultivated a diverse professional background, having practiced in London, Germany, and Africa. Her extensive experience includes living in Hong Kong and volunteering as a dentist in Africa for many years. Additionally, Katherine has pursued numerous postgraduate courses and holds a Diploma in Restorative Dentistry from the Eastman Dental Hospital, UCL London. At our practice she offers general dental services, Invisalign Go, and minimally invasive aesthetic dental treatments. Active in the local community, Katherine is involved in various charitable bodies.

Dr Catherine Sida-Murray

Cassie Sida-Murray operated her own surgery in Goose Green for over thirty years before joining us. Prior to this, she worked in hospitals handling complex surgical cases and volunteered as a dentist abroad. We are thrilled to welcome her expertise and compassion to The Old Bank. Many of Cassie’s loyal patients will follow her here, and we look forward to welcoming them to our new premises.

A calm and charming operator with special skills in restorative and family dentistry, Max lectured at the prestigious Eastman Dental Hospital for a number of years before joining us. With a wealth of experience in general practice, it also means he’s a perfect dentist for nervous and family patients. In his spare time, he has represented Great Britain as Team Captain in the European and World Championships Mountain Running Team and is an ambassador for the global sportswear company Salomon.

Helen is dually qualified as a doctor and a dentist and has been employed as an Oral Surgeon at Guy’s Hospital since 2013. Before that, she worked as a general medical surgeon for 8 years in ENT, MaxFax and neurosurgery amongst other specialities prior to starting her dental degree. She is skilled in dentoalveolar and soft tissue procedures as well as being particularly experienced at taking out wisdom teeth. As a hospital doctor, she is used to technically tricky surgical cases and treating medically compromised patients, and lots of undergraduate dentists and junior surgeons have been taught by her over the years too
Tobi Sliwa

Tobi Sliwa is a valuable member of our team, holding qualifications as both a hygienist and a therapist, with previous experience as a dental nurse. When not with us in Dulwich, he contributes to the Periodontal Department at Kings Dental Hospital, treating complex cases and referrals. Fluent in Polish and proficient in basic German, Tobi also communicates in Portuguese with his wife, who hails from Lisbon. In his previous career, Tobi excelled as a bar manager at Gleneagles in Scotland, known for his skill in mixing excellent cocktails.

Claire O’Brennan

Claire O’Brennan has been an integral part of Dulwich life for nearly two decades, intimately familiar with the area due to her long-standing residency and her children’s attendance at local schools. Before joining our team, she worked in administrative roles for a local dentist and is currently undergoing retraining as a Dental Practice Manageress. Claire also holds prior experience as a registered trainee dental nurse. Though spare time is a rarity, she dedicates what little she has to family, friends, and staying active.
Billie Keleghar
Receptionist
When not helping our lovely patients part-time at the reception desk, Billie coaches co-curricular gymnastics at a local school and also works as a hospitality supervisor. In a past life, she used to train with the National gymnastics squad, and has a relative competing in the Olympics. She has a great eye for detail and is extremely practical too and will help with any queries you have about your bookings.
Cheryl Cartwright

With her helpful and cheerful personality, Cheryl uses her many years experience in Dental Nursing to support patients to feel relaxed and cared for in the surgery. She is a fun lady with a heart of gold, and always willing to lend a hand.
Geovanna Andrade
Nurse
Geovanna is working towards her Clinical Dental Nurse qualification and has a passion for dental care and looking after patients. She is original from Ecuador, but grew up in Barcelona, so speaks Spanish as her mother tongue. She has worked in various fields with customer service and customer care as her main emphasis and has qualifications in Fashion Design too.

Pam Bridgeman

Pam has worked in dentistry for nine years running the front of house operations for Cassie. She is also trained in aspects of cross infection control procedures, surgery maintenance, stock control, audits and compliance. Pam lives locally and walks to work (rain or shine).
Vana Mesquita
Nurse
Vana has joined us recently as a trainee nurse and also hails originally from Brazil. She has degrees already in Business Management and Project Management and is enjoying learning clinical skills now in addition. She is in charge of the Hygiene and Therapy suite. Vana speaks fluent Portuguese and very good Italian too.

Colette Owen

Colette has a clinic with us on Wednesday mornings and has lived and worked locally since arriving in London as a university student. She graduated in Physiotherapy from King’s College London and has a Masters degree in Sports Physiotherapy. Her special interests are musculoskeletal and temporomandibular (jaw) disorders, and she is here to help with jaw and associated head, neck and shoulder issues, and pre and post-dental surgery jaw disorders.
Angela Osei

Since qualifying as a dental nurse, Angela has enjoyed working around South London, gaining a huge amount of experience in all aspects of dental treatment. She has a busy family life too, and is therefore super-organised and used to dealing with a hundred things happening at once. Her calm and kind manner make her a favourite with patients so please talk to Angela if you want to discuss any aspect of your patient journey.
